Beta Alanine Tingling: What the Sensation Is and What We Do Not Know

What is beta alanine tingling?
It is a pins-and-needles feeling, usually in the face, neck or hands, and its medical name is paresthesia.
One small, randomized, double-blind trial gave men 15 g of a sustained-release beta alanine a day for 30 days. Nine of ten in the beta alanine group reported tingling, compared with one of nine on placebo, and no other adverse events were recorded 1. The authors noted the small size, the men-only group, the 30 days and that long-term safety is unknown.
It was a sports-supplement trial, not a memory study, and it did not test HoneyPezil.
